The color we choose for a tiny place is always determined by its purpose and how we want it to feel. Keep the walls light with a hue like Benjamin Moore White Dove if the room needs to feel bright and airy. If you have a small room that you want to seem warm and inviting, choose a darker hue on the walls, such as navy or charcoal gray.
What are the best textiles for small-scale upholstered furniture that are also the most durable?
For aesthetic purposes, durability, and lifetime of the piece, you want to select the greatest quality fabrics and upholstery that your budget permits. We meticulously examine the composition of each cloth we choose to ensure that its content is appropriate for the piece's intended function. The fabric on a banquette, for example, must be more robust than that on a living room side chair.
I like to use mohair, velvets, and leather for upholstery since they are durable. For an added layer of protection, we send a number of our fabrics to be commercially treated before they are upholstered.
